Below are two images of a single tree as the main subject with a foliage mountain view background.
Left- While it's interesting this one tree stands alone, the green tree in the middle takes away the attention of the foliage in the background.
Right- This shot gives the tree a bit more life because you can see more dark green trees in the lower section of the image along with the foliage mountain background. The color of this shot is a lot more eye catching because the green brings out the colors of the background. At this angle, imagine looking out from the main tree's perspective.


I like the rule of 3 picture better also. It does allow for more focus to be on the foliage of the mountains. The tree, in this shot, provides depth, whereas the one that is centered provides distraction from the foliage. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThe photo on the right is the better of the two. I agree with Amanda that the tree in the middle of the photo it distraction. It blocking the view of the mountain side.
